Eyeglass Lenses

Our doctors and optical technicians will educate you on the lens options that will best meet your specific visual needs. We are proud to offer state of the art, premium lens products from Hoya.

No Glare Lenses

Glare can be bothersome in many situations, including driving, night-time, and with computer use. We recommend no glare lenses for anyone who experiences glare, those with stronger prescriptions, and people who want their glasses to have minimal reflections off the surface. We offer no glare lenses from Hoya including the SuperHiVision EX3 and Recharge- which blocks harmful blue light from screens.

Photochromic Lenses

The convenience of having a lens in your glasses that adjusts naturally to sunlight is a benefit many people enjoy. Miamisburg Vision Care recommends Sensity photochromic lenses from Hoya Vision Care. Sensity lenses darken in response to UV light, meaning that your glasses will automatically become sunglasses when you go outdoors, and will return to clear lenses when you are indoors. Sensity lenses offer UV protection, while reducing glare and providing excellent visual contrast.

Hi-Index Lenses

Hi-Index lenses are made of materials that result in thinner, lighter lenses. Hi-Index lenses are ideal for people who have a strong prescription or those who are bothered by the weight of their glasses. Miamisburg Vision Care recommends Hi-Index lenses paired with the No Glare option for the best visual performance.

Sunglasses

Wearing the proper pair of sunglasses is essential for preventing damage to your eyesight. Over time, exposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays can contribute to long-term eye health problems including cataracts, macular degeneration, and premature skin aging around the eyes and eyelids. Polarized sunglass lenses significantly reduce glare from flat surfaces, offering better eye comfort and clearer vision. While sunglasses prevent damage to your eyes, they can also improve your vision and make a fashion statement!

Our optical offers a large selection of both prescription and non-prescription sunglasses, including Ray-Ban. Contact lens wearers who purchase an annual supply of contacts are eligible for $50 off a pair of non-prescription sunglasses. Don’t forget that children and babies need to protect their eyes from the sun too! Check out our selection of cute and durable sunglasses by Babiators.

Safety and Sport glasses

It is estimated that the proper safety eyewear in the workplace may prevent 90% of eye injuries, such as foreign objects or chemicals in the eye. Likewise, 90% of children’s eye injuries are sports related, and may be prevented by wearing the appropriate eye protection. Our full service optical offers safety frames and lenses and has a selection of sport glasses from Liberty Performance Optical.
