Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing, and treating potential vision problems.
Dr. Dave Anderson is a 2004 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He is a past president of the Ohio Optometric Association(OOA) and continues to serve on many committees at the state and national-level.
Dr. Anderson enjoys advocating for his patients and has been involved in the passage of many bills, including the elimination of sales tax on optical items. He lectures and authors articles on eyecare and practice management topics. Dr. Anderson enjoys the challenge of treating glaucoma and other eye diseases, with a special focus on Dry Eye Disease and Myopia Management. He is a former instructor at The Ohio State University College of Optometry in Ocular Disease Clinic, and has been an investigator in clinical trials for contact lenses and ocular pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Staci Anderson is a 2002 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She has a special interest in working with patients with low vision or vision loss. She is trained in vision rehabilitation for patients with both low vision and vision loss related to stroke or brain injury.
Dr. Staci is an active member of the Ohio Optometric Association (OOA) and serves as the Communications Chair of the Miami Valley Society of Optometrists. She participates on the Parent Advisory Council of both Miamisburg City Schools and Montgomery County Department of Developmental Disabilities. In her spare time she enjoys crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family. Dr. Anderson is the proud mom of Leah and Eric, and Leah’s service dog Yodel.
Dr. Basinger earned his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University. After graduation he completed a Residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at Ohio State. Dr. Basinger is currently a clinical investigator for a major contact lens manufacturer, so if you would be interested in participating in a contact lens study, be sure to let him know.
He is a member of the City of Miamisburg Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, the Past President of the Miamisburg Rotary, Director on the Board of Farmers and Merchants Bank, Treasurer for Miamisburg Community Foundation, Board Member for Miamisburg Education Foundation and Member of the Ohio Optometric Association. His outside interests are computers, home improvement, and traveling.
Dr. Taylor Sprague is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. After graduation, she completed a residency in Binocular Vision and Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Optometry and is passionate about children’s vision care. She has been wearing glasses herself since she was 18 months old, which enables her to uniquely connect with her patients. Her special clinical interests include strabismus, amblyopia, and myopia management. She loves treating patients of all ages with vision therapy, whether it is helping a child improve school performance or helping a post-concussion patient experience the world more comfortably.
Dr. Sprague is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry — a distinction that emphasizes her commitment to lifelong learning for the benefit of her patients. She enjoys both domestic and international optometric service work and has provided eye exams at free clinics around Ohio and also in Jamaica.
Outside of optometry, Dr. Sprague enjoys fostering service dogs in training with her husband.
Dr. Abby Almomar is originally from Temperance, Michigan. Dr. Almomar earned a full ride scholarship to The Ohio State University and graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 2018. Dr. Almomar went on to attend The Ohio State College of Optometry and will graduate in May 2022.
Dr. Almomar completed rotations at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates and John D. Dingell VA Hospital in downtown Detroit. While in optometry school, she served as the President of the student body and sat on the curriculum committee. Dr. Almomar planned a service trip to Frome, Jamaica where her and her classmates gave eye exams to 500+ people over the course of 1 week.
Dr. Almomar earned the Albert Schweitzer Award for her work providing eye exams to newly immigrated families in the Columbus area. She also won the Pat Cummings Scholarship for Leadership, Carol Alexander Student of the Year Award, and Gold Key Leader Award.
In her free time, Dr. Almomar loves attending Buckeye football and hockey games, riding her Peloton bike, and discovering new restaurants and coffee shops in the Columbus area.
Dr. Culp completed his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2016. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2020. During his time there he was a member of Private Practice Club, Ocular Disease Club, and Sports Vision Club. Throughout his clinical training he rotated through the Columbus Veterans Affairs Hospital, The Ohio State School for the Blind, and several community healthcare clinics focused on treatment and management of ocular disease and co-managing ocular refractive and cataract surgeries. Dr. Culp is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association.
In his free time, Dr. Culp enjoys hiking, traveling, playing guitar, rooting on The Ohio State Buckeyes and Columbus Blue Jackets, and spending time his family and his wife, Mary.
